Look, starry-eyed marketing dreamers are great, but good brands, campaigns, and marketing teams are build in the trenches doing the dirty work. I’ve been fortunate throughout my career to be forced to do more with less. My work has been the result of scraping and clawing to get the most out of strategic thinking, tactical execution, and cross-functional communication to get the job done. Whether that be in the form of writing copy, guiding creative direction, or building a brand strategy and identity from the ground up. I’ve done the minor and the major and wouldn’t have built my career any other way.
I believe in teamwork. That nobody is smart enough to do it all on their own. And that, as a leader, I need to be able to take feedback from everyone, no matter what rung of the ladder they are on.
